Tesco Bakery Cookies

Tesco have a number of varieties, Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Triple Chocolate, Oat and Raisin, Fruit nut & chocoate and white chocolate & cranberry. We decided to try a few varieties and chose Triple Chocolate, Oat and Raisin, White Choc & Cranberry and Milk Chocolate.

On first appearance they are a nice size with lots of chunky ingredients in them.

Triple chocolate lots of big chunks of chocolate, taste is very choccy and you can taste the flavours of the chocolate, cant eat too many at once.

Oat and Raisin, again the appearance lots of chunky raisins, they didnt seem as moist as the other varieties we tried, but still very tasty.

Milk Chocolate again had the  appearence of lots of chunks of chocolate, very tasty and moist.

lastly White chocolate and Cranberry, again appearence of lots of chuncky chocolate and cranberries and did not let you down with taste.

There has definately been an improvement in the cookies, lots of taste and very moist.

OMG Banana Malt Loaf

So as a tweeter, I read many times about Soreen Banana Malt Loaf. I have to say I do like malt loaf and not tried the banana type until recently.

I was in Asda and just noticed it on the shelf, mmm do I be a devil and get it, yeah why not.

I shouldnt, it is even better then plain malt load and now I am hooked but there is a downside, it is more fattening than normal malt loaf. They also do lunchbox size, but I have to say I not fond of them, I like my malt loaf with butter, and found it very dry.

Normal Malt loaf, per 100g 310cal, fat 1.7g, sat fat 0.5g

A small lunchbox version but without butter I find too dry!

Banana Malt loaf per 100g 313cals, fat 4.1g, sat fat 1.3g

I will conclude by saying I dont buy it every week but once a month as a treat

Activia Pouring Yoghurt

I didnt know what to expect as never used it before, I was unually surprised, it was very much like milk but thicker.

I decided to try it as a healthy alternative to cream 1st, we used it with fresh fruit, and went down a treat. Especially with the strawberries in season at the moment, it was great and really brought out the flavour well, we used the flavoured strawberry, vanilla and natural on different occasions and have to say we loved them all.
Also other types of fresh fruit went well with the vanilla or natural option.
My daughter loved it with Jelly too.
We tried it with various cereals, and 1st was worried due to thickness of the pouring yoghurt, it was better with weetabix, cherios, my daughter didnt like it with Krave as she likes the milk to soften them, but it didnt soften it enough for her. Apart from that it will be a great addition in our fridge from now on.
